One of my many passions is researching ancestry.
I've been digging into my family history for about five years now. As such, I'm by no means an expert, but on the other hand, I feel I've done some pretty good research.
But despite my efforts, my research has brought me up against a couple of 'brick walls' as they call them: ancestors that we can't seem to go beyond, that we can't seem to trace even one generation before them. And for those brick walls (and for other reasons for sure) I've turned to DNA testing, hoping through DNA I might find someone on the other side of that brick wall.
Recently I found someone who might be a relative on the other side of one of the walls I've encountered. But there's a catch: If we're connected through whom I think we're connected through, we both have an attempted ax murderer in our past. So hey, cousin!
